Etz Hayyim Synagogue serves as a Greek point of contact for organisations, institutions and practitioners interested in working with the Training for the Contact Zone methodology.
During the Hania programme, the TCZ Curriculum was professionally translated into Greek and adapted for use within the local context. The Hania training also demonstrated how the curriculum can be contextualised without losing its core principles, drawing on local histories, institutions and community dynamics to make the material relevant to the people taking part. The Greek-language curriculum and training materials are therefore available as a starting point for anyone wishing to explore TCZ in Greece.
Interested in running your own TCZ training?
A TCZ programme does not need to look exactly like the training we held in Hania. The curriculum is designed to be adapted to the questions, communities and realities of the people using it. Your starting point might be a museum collection, a school environment, a contested local history, questions of participation within your organisation, or a social issue that needs more space for dialogue.
