Internship Opportunities

Internship Opportunities

At Etz Hayyim, we offer three distinct internship tracks, each tailored to different areas of interest and study. While the focus of each internship varies, all interns contribute meaningfully to our mission of preserving Jewish heritage, fostering intercultural dialogue, and enriching public understanding of the history and culture of the Jewish community of Crete.

Across our three internship tracks—Library, Archive, and Cataloguing; Pedagogy and Education; and PR, Fundraising, and Grant Writing—you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience in your field (e.g., content creation, educational program design, archival work).
  • Learn to work in a small nonprofit setting, with flexibility, initiative, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Deepen your understanding of Jewish culture, Greek-Jewish history, and heritage preservation.
  • Join a calm, collegial workplace in a city rich with history, culture, and beauty.
  • Work both independently and alongside experts, volunteers, and other interns in a spirit of mutual learning.

Each internship provides structured responsibilities, close collaboration with our team, and space to develop individual projects within the framework of Etz Hayyim’s work. All roles are based at the synagogue and follow our standard work schedule.
